SOUTHERN HIGHLIGHTS - This is a sample itinerary of what we can offer. It can be tailor-made to your requirements.
DAY 1: TEL AVIV
Pick up your car and overnight
DAY 2-3 : NEGEV DESERT
Drive approx. 3hrs visiting Sde Boker, burial place of David Ben Gurion, the founder of modern Israel.
Stay for 1 or 2 nights in Mitzpe Ramon where you can visit the stunnig Ramon Crater, go mountain biking or hiking or take some time out for yourself and indluge your senses at the Six Senses Shaharut.
DAY 4-5: EILAT
Drive approx. 1.5hrs to the Red Sea resort of Eilat where you can relax on the beach or if feeling adventurous - you can cross the border into Jordan for a night or two and take in Wadi Rum and Petra. (You will need to leave your hire car at the border and hire another car in Jordan or take a tour from Eilat into Jordan.)
DAY 6: EIN GEDI
Drive. approx. 3hrs to the Dead Sea and overnight either at one of the Dead Sea resort hotels or drive another hour further North and visit Masada, an amazing hilltop fortress from Biblical times where you can do a sunrise climb. Stay up the road at the Kibbutz in Ein Gedi where you enjoy the natural surroundings and take a short hike into the hills following the desert springs.
DAY 7: JERUSALEM
Drive. approx. 2hrs to the historic city of Jerusalem where you can also visit St. Georges Monastery on the way or stop off for a pitta Falafel for lunch. Here you can visit the Old City, Mahane Yehuda food market, Yad Vashem, the Israel Museum (home to the Dead Sea Scrolls).
DAY 8: TEL AVIV
Drive approx. 1hr to Tel Aviv where you can drop off your car downtown or at the airport.
