The Lowest point on Earth...a float in the Dead Sea is on most people's bucket list!

An easy day trip from either Tel Aviv or Jerusalem, the Dead Sea experience combines a unique physical experience floating on water and covering yourself with therapeutic mud along with a sense of the Judean wilderness as you pass such sites as the caves where the Dead Sea scrolls were found.

There are several hotels on the shore along with a couple of good Israel Youth hostels offering private en suite rooms.
You can also visit the dramatic fortress of Masada conquered by the Romans or stop and hike the hill springs of Ein Gedi.

A must for must travellers to Israel..you get a true sense of the land of Israel as it was in biblical times and you can do it in a day, overnight or en route to the South.
