Netanya
Located 30km north of Tel Aviv, the resort of Netanya offers 12km of the widest, cleanest and best beaches in Israel. While the city itself – the self-titled 'Israeli Riviera' – may feel like an old European seaside resort, its seafront is much more peaceful than its southern counterparts.
Once popular with elderly visitors (especially French, British and Russian), Netanya is now starting to lure younger crowds. The spacious promenade with its children’s parks, flower beds and water features, plus live music shows in the town’s square, and a few lively bars, are helping to give Netanya a new lease of life. A good choice if you want to break the journey to Haifa or historic Acre on the way.
