NORTHERN HIGHLIGHTS - This is a sample itinerary of what we can offer. It can be tailor-made to your requirements.
DAY 1: TEL AVIV
Pick up your car and overnight
DAY 2-3 : JERUSALEM
Drive. approx. 1hr to the historic city of Jerusalem where you can visit the Old City, Mahane Yehuda food market, Yad Vashem, the Israel Museum (home to the Dead Sea Scrolls).
DAY 4: MASADA or EIN GEDI
Drive. approx. 2hrs to the Dead Sea and overnight either at one of the Dead Sea resort hotels stay at the Hostel at the foot of Masada, an amazing hilltop fortress from Biblical times where you can do a sunrise climb or at the Hostel at nearby Ein Gedi where you can dip in the Dead Sea or take a short hike into the hills following the desert springs.
DAY 5: TIBERIAS
Drive for approx. 3.5hrs through the Jordan Valley up to Tiberias on the shores of the Sea of Galillee.
You can also make time for a visit to the impressive Roman ruins in the town of Beit Shean en route.
DAY 6: ACRE
Drive for apporx. 3hrs through the Galilee, stopping at mystical Safed, the home of Kabbalah and onto the ancient port of Acre. a Unesco World Heritage site with it's Crusader history and colourful old Shuk.
DAY 7: HAIFA
Drive for approx. 30 min to the port City of Haifa, home to the BaHai Faith and it's world famous gardens.
Haifa is Israel's 3rd largest city and worth a night where you can check out it's urban food scene.
DAY 8: TEL AVIV
Drive approx. 2.5hr to Tel Aviv where you can drop off your car downtown or at the airport.
You could stop off en route at either the Roman ruins of Caeserea or the wine producing town of Zichron Yaakov on the way.
